The number of commercial flights occurring on a daily basis seems to be at a steady level with the potential to climb as we slowly enter the Summer season.

For April 23-29, there are 66172 total commercial flights recorded, which is up 197.76% compared to 22223 in 2020 and down 80% compared to 2019 with 111440.

Such a number has remained relatively steady throughout the month of April, with a rolling average of over 60,000 flights per day, showing strong news compared to what we saw in 2020.

April 24 saw 62,309 flights operate around the world, of which 19,227 represented U.S domestic flights. China came in second place with 12,567 domestic flights taking place in just one day.

Based on the graph in this article, it could be suggested that things will remain steady until we get into May, June, July, and August, where the pent-up demand is most expected to cause a surge in daily flights.

With new and unique services emerging in the Summer, such as JetBlue's entrance into Europe and much more, such services that will be added will add to the daily flight count, which will be good news for the industry to get back on its feet.
