The Safety Matters Foundation (SMF) has raised severe and recurring safety concerns involving Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft operated by Air India, following a documented incident on a recent international flight.

India’s aviation industry is once again facing scrutiny after a rare midair emergency aboard an Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner over the weekend.

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a proposed airworthiness directive that would require airlines to inspect ram air turbine (RAT) fittings on a limited number of Boeing 787 aircraft, following concerns that some components may have been manufactured with substandard titanium.
