SAS Operates Its Last Boeing 737 Flight

SAS flight SK737 from Stockholm to Oslo 

This past Sunday (19), SAS said goodbye to its last Boeing 737 with a departure from Stockholm Arlanda, symbolizing the airline's shift towards an Airbus A320neo fleet to minimize CO2 emissions. The flight  SK737 followed through the Scandinavian capitals before finally landing at Oslo Gardermoen.

Tonje Sundt, SAS's press manager, commented: “This aircraft has actually flown for over four years and eight months in terms of the number of hours in the air, a total of 1,760 days, and has undergone "1,499 cycles, i.e., SAS'sings and departures,” said.

The flight was operated by a 16-year-old SAS Boeing 737-783 (registration LN-RRB). This particular aircraft, LN-RRB, has a notable history, having served for over four years and participated in various flights, including evacuation missions from Afghanistan.
