Greece's Sky Express becomes new ATR 72-600 operator

On Thursday, July 1st, Greece-based airline Sky Express received its first ATR 72-600. The acquisition of the larger version of the ATR-72 is part of a restructuring and modernization plan for the Greek flag carrier.

The airline currently has a fleet of five ATR 42-500s and seven ATR 42-512s, four Airbus A320neo, two Embraer ERJ 145EP, one British Aerospace Jetstream 3212EP, and one British Aerospace Jetstream 4101, of which 15 are ATRs. The ATR 72-600 is the first aircraft of the 600 version of the ATR-72 family.
Sky Express operates 35 domestic destinations and 8 international routes.

Furthermore, Sky Express CEO Theodoros Krokida states that the airline is satisfied to incorporate the ATR 72-600 into Sky's fleet. And that it is important to offer passengers flexible and efficient solutions that provide a standard of comfort and safety.
