Boeing 747 Freighter Veers Off Runway at Hong Kong International Airport

A Boeing 747-481F (registration TC-ACF) operated by Air ACT Cargo on behalf of Emirates SkyCargo has reportedly veered off the runway after landing at Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) on October 19, 2025.
The aircraft, flying as Emirates flight EK9788 from Dubai (DXB), was involved in a serious runway excursion shortly after touchdown. According to preliminary information, the jumbo freighter collided with a ground service vehicle, dragging it into nearby waters adjacent to the runway area.
Authorities confirmed that all crew members survived the incident, but two ground workers remain missing as rescue operations continue around the airport’s southern apron area.
The last recorded ADS-B data from AirNav Radar showed the aircraft at 19:52:47 UTC, near coordinates 22.3288°N, 113.8985°E, with a heading of 025° and a ground speed of 50 knots during rollout.
