Air Belgium paints its first A330 freighter

Air Belgium recently announced that it will incorporate cargo jets into its fleet, diversifying its scheduled and charter operations for long-haul passengers.

The first plane, with OO-CMA registration, was seen in Dublin, Ireland, with the visual identity that it will display on its new operator.

The company plans to start operations with its first two freighters by the end of March 2021, basing the aircraft at Liège, a cargo-oriented airport located in Belgium. The plan is to launch flights from March 8 and Chicago-O'Hare will be the first destination announced.

The Airbus A330s will fly at the service of CMA CGM, a French shipping company that is expanding its activities to air transport. Initially, the operations will depart from Liège and will be destined for the city of Chicago, in the United States.
